Yancey County Transportation Authority (YCTA) provides fully accessible, non-emergency public transit services that are safe, reliable, courteous, and cost-effective to the citizens of Yancey County.

Comfortable passenger vans marked with the YCTA logo provide demand response services to medical, employment, education, shopping, hiking, airports, and other destinations. Same-day shuttle services are offered Monday through Friday for those within city limits, with other trips requiring a 24 to 48 hour notice. Rates are very affordable and may be free if you qualify.

Anyone requiring non-emergency transportation in or out of the county is eligible to ride Yancey County Transportation. Special transportation for groups and organizations may be arranged. Contract services for numerous human service agencies are also provided. For more information, please call 828-682-6144.
